Some identities provide context.

These 73 categories help explain the Census data. The certified catalog keeps them as context, without a public community-ranking page.

Explore where people share an ancestry, origin, or birthplace. Each community uses one specific Census measure. The source note tells you which question was used.

A person may appear in more than one community. Do not add these counts together. Community information does not change the Follow Your Heart Index or any of its five scores.

They remain distinct from the 274 communities in the searchable directory. A category being context-only does not make anyone less important or mean that their community is absent.
